Room Divider - Umbra and Dvider.com

I've been looking for the perfect room divider, but have been having a lot of trouble finding one.

I rent my apartment and was hoping to use the Ikea diginet to hang my curtains, but I can't find the stud to nail it into. I even bought a stud find which proved to be useless.

My new brilliant idea is to find something that has a tension pole mechanism that runs from floor to ceiling. The problem with this is there seems to be very few things on the market that I can actually buy to do this. I have provided pictures of two systems below, one is made by Umbra and the other by dvider. They both have their flaws, which I will explain below.

The bottom picture (of left) is the Umbra Anywhere system. It sells for about $90 bucks for each of the tension sets, so what is shown in the picture would cost you about $160 @ buidler's square. From the reviews I have found, which seem to be few and far between, this system can only handle extremely light weight sheers. It also is not as stable as it looks and many of the reviewers have had trouble keeping the swing mechanism in place.

The system on the top (or right) just looks phenomenal doesn't it? The problem with this system, which is sold by dvider.com, is that it costs around $700. I'm not willing to the pay that much, are you? You can just buy the tension pole from them, or at least it seems like it (the site is semi-confusing), but it still adds up to be more than I am willing to pay.

If any of you have any better ideas for what I can do, it would be much appreciated.

Blanca Settee

Along with the Red Sofa I purchased, I also bought the Blanca Settee from pottery barn in the black tile print.

I originally wanted the color scheme of my apartment to be on the bright fun side, but now with the red couch and the black and tile settee, I'm not sure what colors I could add in to brighten things up.
Anybody have any suggestions?

Sofa

After searching and searching, I finally found a SOFA that I think I will love. I say think because I haven't seen the sofa yet, and I saw the same style sofa but in the "stone" variety at Macy's. From the looks of the stone model, I think this sofa was a steal! For 999 it comes with a floating chase. What does that mean? It means the chase can be attached to the left or right side of the sofa. Awesome huh?

So what did I buy? I bought the Bacall Sofa in Red microsuded.

Exciting!
